Medical and social aspects and quality of life of children with type 1 diabetes

Quality of life of children with type 1 diabetes has been studied using PedsQL 4.0 Generic Core Scales. Quality of life of children with type 1 diabetes was similar to quality of life of children without diabetes.
Quality of life of children with diabetes in the elder age group (13-17 years old) was higher than in the younger one (8-12 years old). In the group aged 13-17 years old girls had lower quality of life paramemers than boys. The degree of disease compensation (НвА1с level) did not affect quality of life parameters.
