Evaluation of laparoscopic management of acute appendicitis: quality of life assessment
The use of minimally invasive technology allows improving the results of acute appendicitis treatment. Quality of life parameters during the first 6 months after surgery are higher in the group of patients who underwent laparoscopic appendectomy as compared to the ones after conventional appendectomy.
These data point to more rapid recovery of patients after minimally invasive technology. Quality of life research at different time points after surgery makes it possible to determine the advantages of laparoscopic appendectomy as compared to conventional appendectomy.
