Applicability of the generic quality of life questionnaire SF-36 and disease-specific questionnaire Visual Function Questionnaire 25 for quality of life assessment in patients after mechanical eye injuries

Modern principles of treatment and rehabilitation of patients after heavy urgent pathology – a mechanical injury of an eye are presented. Capability of using the generic quality of life questionnaire SF-36 and disease-specific questionnaire Visual Function Questionnaire 25 for quality of life assessment is shown.

The study shows the expediency of patient's determination, just at the stage of hospitalization, of his own condition, in order to trace dynamics in indicators of quality of life, timely reacting to them, making changes in treatment tactics in the post-traumatic period.
