NICOLAE TESTEMITANU STATE MEDICAL AND PHARMACEUTICAL UNIVERSITY, CHISINAU, REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA
Symptom assessment in patients after surgical reconstruction of bile ducts (BD) is important at diagnostic stage as well, as during follow up (before surgery and 3, 6, 12 months after surgery). One of the objectives of this multi-stage study was to provide validation and approbation of the Romanian version (for the Republic of Moldova) of the instrument for evaluation of patients` symptoms/well-being after reconstruction surgery on BD — GSRS. The translation procedure and cultural adaptation of GSRS has been done in accordance with international recommendations. After the final version development the validation of the Romanian version (for the Republic of Moldova) of GSRS was conducted. As the result, the developed national version of the special gastroenterological questionnaire GSRS has been shown as reliable, valid and sensitive tool, which has a mediumsensitive statistical correlation with SF-36 questionnaire. The national version of the GSRS can be used for QoL research in healthy people in the Republic of Moldova as well as in patients with gastroenterological diseases.
