The aim of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of rehabilitation programs of Clinical Rehabilitation Research Center for children with oncological, hematological and immunological diseases «Russkoye pole» for pediatric patients with severe blood diseases with the focus on changes of children's quality of life (QoL). Pediatric patients with hematological malignancies who received polychemotherapy and patients with refractory acute leukemia and severe blood diseases who underwent hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (n=443) were enrolled in the study as well as their parents (n=431). Comparisons of QoL by PedsQL™ questionnaire scales as well as summary scales, revealed the QoL improvement after rehabilitation both from children's and parents' perspectives. The effectiveness of rehabilitation in terms of QoL improvement was demonstrated in both patients' groups. Pediatric patients who underwent rehabilitation after polychemotherapy had a greater degree of QoL improvement as compared to patients after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
